On May 5th, people celebrate Cinco de Mayo, a holiday celebrating Mexico’s victory at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In Mexico, Cinco de Mayo starts with morning parades that include colorful folkloric dances, vibrant music, and historical reenactments. In the United States, many people display banners, while school districts hold special events to teach students about this holiday.
