First Day of Camp…Ever!
The 1940s saw the birth of summer camp. With WWII raging on the other side of the pond, Americans put summer family vacations on hold. They would now instead send their kids to camp, where they lived liked pioneers in the great outdoors.
Molly’s Summer Story
From the moment she steps off the bus and arrives at Camp Gowonagain, Molly loves every minute of it – hiking through nature, canoeing in the lake, doing arts and crafts, and singing around the campfire with her friends Susan and Linda.
But then a Color War is announced, splitting the camp into two Teams. When Linda is put on the opposing team as her and Susan, Molly worries that their “best summer ever”-and their friendship-is at risk. When the Color War gets serious, Molly must figure out how to win for her team without losing one of her best friends in the process.
You can read all about how Molly fights with her true colors in her book “Molly Saves the Day”.
