Girl AGain trainee Alex just received a Manager’s note! This is her first note for in-store work from home. Working from home has meant rethinking all of our typical tasks in a way that allows for the trainees to learn important job skills and also prepare merchandise for the Girl AGain boutique which is currently open to the public. This might seem pretty straight forward however it has been anything but.
Zoom calls are definitely not anyone’s favorite form of communication but we are thankful this platform exists so that we are able to continue from home. Some of the important tasks the Girl AGain trainees continue to work on are:
- Researching merchandise so that we can let our customers know the name and detail for American Girl items found at the boutique
- Pricing research, so that we can provide the best options for our customers
- Photographing and writing descriptions for online merchandise so that we can provide more shopping options
- Displaying merchandise to be ready for sale when brought back to the boutique. While this seems like it would be the easiest task, it has taken some getting used to especially as we want to keep items as neat and clean as possible.
COVID-19 has created a new way of work for many, including all the Girl AGain trainees, and we would like to take a moment to recognize the efforts on everyone’s part. Keep up the good work everyone and a big bravo to the Girl AGain trainees for adapting to this new process! Yes She Can!
