After seeing Ms Winston’s quilt while hiding from a tornado, Kirsten and her classmate, Lisabeth, wanted to learn to quilt. Knowing how long it takes to sew a quilt, Ms. Winston suggested the girls start with sewing small squares of muslin.
Introduced to Kirsten’s Collection in 1987 and modified to include the quilt kit in 2005, this set was retired in 2009 with Kirsten’s archival.
